FRP flanges are made of phenolic FRP materials by high temperature molding. Its products include standard FRP flanges DN15-DN 800, various specifications of FRP blind plates, flange covers, FRP container covers, manhole covers and other non-standard products . The product has high mechanical strength, acid resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance (180℃). It is widely used in chemical, electric power, pharmaceutical, pesticide, dye, smelting, sewage treatment, power plant flue gas desulfurization projects and other industries.
Commonly used glass fiber reinforced plastic flanges are mostly used for medium and low pressure pipes and vessels with a pressure not greater than 3MPa. The main structure is formed with integral flanges, adhesive flanges and loose flanges.
Integral flanges are generally flat flanges with equal wall thickness. The advantage of this structure is that the flange ring and the cylinder are integrally formed, and the reinforced glass fiber and fabric are continuous, which can give full play to the high strength and easy forming characteristics of glass fiber reinforced plastic.
The bonding flange is formed by separately processing the flange ring and the cylinder body, and then bonding the two together. This structure is widely used. It takes full advantage of the easy forming of FRP. The mold is simple and easy to manufacture. It is suitable for manufacturing large diameter, small batch and special-shaped FRP flanges. According to the internal stress distribution of the flange, make full use of the characteristics of designability and easy forming of FRP performance, and choose a more reasonable flange structure form.
